Work is still OK but my sales is really quite bad lah, compared to the old birds there as I'm still new after all. Nvm, I will still try my best. However, there's so much info to memorise/know that most of the times, I'm a tad confused. For instance, whether to use zip-lock bags or tamper bags will depend on where the person is heading and whether he will have transit in other countries. Or the need to send certain purchases to the gate holdroom if total quantity bought exceed the limit. Or the procedures to go through if the buyer wanna collect their stuff only when they return etc etc.
For the past week, I've been working night shift from 3pm to 12am. By the time I reached home, it's already 130am. Shower and stuff, I can only turn in at 3am and to wake up at 11am the next day. The cycle repeats itself everyday till Friday, thereafter I have my well deserved break on Sat and Sun. I hardly come online cuz I'll be too tired.
I was assigned to a girl from La Mer as well and she's termed as my "buddy". She looks really pretty and really can't tell that she's already 35 yrs old!! Though she looks amiable but she's one darn tough lady who dares to stand up for herself and not let anyone there bully her. She's also really good to me, teaching me what I ought to learn there.
Gotta know an Indian man aged 29 named Suresh and he's really funny lah. He's working as a security there but machiam CID liddat, he's not dressed in any uniform and is always pretending to be a customer to see if there's anyone shoplifting. He is very talented cuz besides working at the airport everyday, he also teaches dancing, set up sound systems for big events like National Day AND he's also an actor on TV cum doing emcee/host for events. WOW. Super multi-task hehe.
Suresh always made fun of me and called me "MODEL", even goes around telling other staff I'm the MODEL there. Wah lao! I need to use calculator during work and always kiap my pink calculator under my armpit when I'm serving the customers thus he went to find a smaller one to lend me on my second day of work cuz he said I looked unsightly lorrrrrrrrrr. Thanks huh! But I appreciate his good intention and will return him once I get a smaller one.
Colleagues there still OK but when it comes to snatching sales, they can turn super aggressive. Politics there darn heavy so I gotta watch my tongue everytime. Few colleagues asked why I don't become a model instead. An auntie colleague said I got very long legs. Hehe, one even thought I have a height of 1.7m. They "see me too high" wor. I where got the qualification to be a model? Duhzzz.
I thought most Ang mohs are friendly but one lady was quite fierce and rude when she told me to leave her alone and not to follow her. I understand how she feels. I also loathe it when promoters start to tail me machiam I will steal their stuff but if we don't follow the customers, they will be snatched away by other promoters who's always on the prey. No choice.
My feet were always aching like hell too when I wore my covered shoes. I can't even walk properly when I reached home at night. Finally bought a flat and more comfortable one yesterday when I was out with Pauline. Also got myself a GUESS clear bag for work purpose. It's a MUST to buy see through bags for work *TaMaDe so troublesome* for security purpose and I've searched high and low from Bugis to Lido to Far East to Lucky Plaza just to find a suitable bag but in vain. Spotted a few but they're too big. We gotta share a pathetic locker during work and it can only fit in small tote bags wtf. I really got no other choice but to buy the expensive Guess bag that cost me $149.90. I know it ain't THAT costly but I'm really very broke and can't afford to splurge liddat sigh.
Such a pretty thing and mine is in gold. Lurve GUESS bags cuz they're nice and not that costly compared to LV, Coach, etc. It's a new arrival, only displayed yesterday noon. I love it.
Lots of stuff running out again. Cleanser, make-up remover, moisturizer, eye liner and lots lots more. Where to find so much money to cover my expenses, pay bills that are already accumulating and to save up for Taiwan trip? Sis already loaned me $900 and Pauline gotta pay for the air tickets and hotel accommodation first. Haizz. Really sux being penniless. Luckily got "Someone" giving me a lil' allowance now and then =P
Upcoming schedule, I will be working from 7am so I gotta leave home by 515am thus I gotta wake up at 4am.... Which means I must sleep by 10pm to have at least 6 hrs of rest. I still gotta read up on La Mer products later..........
Therefore I have to stop blogging and start reading! Offdays will be on Thurs and Fri, will update again!!!
