Had been slogging at work for the past week, working 12+ hours per day. By the time I knocked off, it's already past 12am and gotta take cab back home. Super tiring plus the fact that I'm ill. Not only down with heavy flu and cough with lotsa phlegm, I'm fortunate already that my sore throat and fever subsided. Still, I did not take MC and struggled my way to work.
My French superior,SN, whom everyone abhors, was surprisingly nice to me yest. She knew I was sick, came forward to thank me for still going to work and that I could go to the office frequently to drink more water during work. She has been verbally attacking most of the gals but I was never her target YET. Been trying to do my best already... BUT I really got a phobia for wrapping gifts!! Pray hard I dun kena gift wrap so soon. I must practise more often first. I really sucks so much that I couldn't even wrap a simple rectangular box! A customer 看不下去 yest and said dun have to wrap le and just got a box that's way too big for the fragrance she bought and put her present in it. Wah piang! I really yearn to just dig a hole in the ground and hide my head in it like an ostrich.
Actually I sort of sympathise SN cuz I do believe that she's just not used to our culture here yet and doesn't know how we locals do, behave and think. Plus her words are always sarcastic and straight, perhaps it's how the ang mohs speak too. I came across countless ang mohs in the past at the airport and though some are good, the majority are tactless like her too. Hopefully she'll understand us and treat us better in times to come. I do hope our gals give her the time to adapt too.
The president of Sephora did know about us being ill-treated by SN thus he did try to encourage us in one way or another. For instance, sponsoring each of us $100 worth of products from the store and we could take anything that's selling on the shopfloor. I guess he must have spoken to SN about it as her attitude towards us has improved slightly as well. Well, time will tell if SN will change for the better.
And hor, frenz if U guyz can't contact me/ I did not reply means I MUST BE working and unable to use phone totally. Phone's in the locker and we must be working every min and sec one thus I am unable to check for any missed calls/ msgs. Even if I do get the chance to do so, I can't reply too. Gone is my livelihood... Sad. But well, for the sake of money, I'll bear with it. Super broke again. I dun even dare to take sick leave cuz can't claim and I dun wan them to deduct my salary.
Saw Fion and her hubby yest, bro and his gf (XiaoLian), Small Alicia's friend, Gwen on last Sat and my sis and her friend on last Fri at my store. Was unable to tend to them cuz super duper busy. Lotsa friends told me they wanted to come find me le when they were at town, including Pauline, Small Alicia, Viy (who wanted to take freebies, keke), Wanqi, etc. But I'll be too busy to entertain them during this peak period of festive season. Sorry ah, pls understand hor! And not to forget to mention Fion who looked soo pretty when she dropped by yest. Her skin looks great, machiam glowing and lovely make-up cum hair. Looking more chio after her marriage. Hehe.
A funny incident. Few nights ago, Baby was sleeping at my feet on the bed. I was having a nightmare and I got sooo angry in the dream that I kicked someone hard twice... Then I woke up abruptly and saw poor Baby looking at me. I had kicked her twice OMG!! My poor lil' darling. She must be wondering what wrong she did... I immediately hugged her in my arms and fell into slumberland with her. I must be too exhausted and stressed this period of time due to work. Sigh.
Suppose to alter my pants today cuz finally off but I'm too weary to go out. Plus menses came a lil' so I'll probably alter them tml or day after before I start work. I just feel like staying home and eating my mummy's home cooked dishes.
Met up with Evelyn last weekend and we went to Raffles City for a walk. We ate at Thai Express (I only had soft shell crab and she Pineapple fried rice plus us sharing a bowl of TomYum soup). It was funny how we only remembered to snap a pic of the empty dishes AFTER we gobbled everything up. Then we each had a cone of Ben & Jerry ice-cream and my mango sorbet tasted yummy! Not as sour as I thought sorbet will be. Lastly, her
ex-bf bf friend came to pick us and we went to KBOX at ChinaTown for few hours of singing session.
Shall be working night shifts from tml onwards all the way to Sunday which will be my offday again. Guess I wun have the time to come online at all during this week. And so.... would like to wish everyone an advance Merry Xmas!!
